Loy Krathong festival (also spelt loi krathong) is coming up this weekend this is probably one of the most elegant festivals in Thailand. It is held on 12th full moon of the lunar calendar, I can’t remember if this has ever fallen out side of November I guess it could do, this year it will be celebrated on the 24th November in Phuket.

Last weekend we moved houses, after being in the last one for 8 years. Typically my ex-landlady true to Chinese-Thai form, told Pang and myself one thing six weeks ago (the last week in September) basically the house around us are going to have a make over and generally tidied up, but she stated that we wouldn’t have to move and that ours could be polished up while we lived there.
